The Stories of Broadway's
Legendary Composers
The Beachwood Branch is pleased
to launch this exciting new series
that combines a music history les-
son and a concert. The Great Amer-
ican Songbook, that compilation of
the best music ever written during
the Golden age of Broadway and
Hollywood, circa 1920s through
the 1950s, is a treasure trove of
history, drama, art, romance and
brilliant accomplishment. Listen
as they are brought to life by the
beautiful voice of Laura Varcho.

Largely Literary Theater Compa-
ny, featuring Sara Showman and
Mark Dawidziak. Performed by
Showman (from the South) and
hour show blends haunting literary
selections with actual ghost stories
from Ohio and other states, includ-
ing South Carolina and Virginia.
The literary interludes include
poetry by Walt Whitman and Emily
Dickinson, as well as a terror tale by
Ohio native (and Civil War veteran)
Ambrose Bierce. The show also
features a special section about
Abraham Lincoln.

Society for a trip back in time. The
presentation will include tales of
long forgotten murders, scandals
and changes in the look of Beach-
