Raise Your Hands for Milestones Autism Resources 2016 Benefit

lmost 350 supporters filled Executive Caterers ballroom for the Milestones Autism Resources 2016 Annual Benefit dinner. The evening’s honorees were Carol and Scott Burg, Gen Bauer and Bill Carson, and Barb and Lev Gonick. Milestones Autism Resources, located in Beachwood, improves the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum by educating, coaching and connecting the local autism community with evidence-based information.
NA’AMAT Hosts Noteworthy Afternoon
Cleveland members of NA’AMAT USA enjoyed an afternoon of music at Judy Eigenfeld and Rick Maron’s spectacular Glass Box penthouse located atop a landmark building on Euclid Avenue. The afternoon featured hors d’oeuvres and Flamenco solo guitar music played by Stuart Vokes. Funds raised support daycare centers NA’AMAT serves in Israel.

Shabbos Project Challah Bake
On Thursday, November 10, more than 1,400 women participated in a challah bake at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland as part of The Shabbos Project, an international, grassroots Jewish identity movement that unites all Jews to keep one full Shabbat together. It is estimated that more than 1 million Jews in more than 1,160 communities around the world participated. The Shabbos Project in Cleveland was chaired by Cheryl Fox. The challah bake was co-chaired by Caroline Sharvit, Heather Greene and Risa Uvlin. Jessica WachsmanSelznick served as the MC, and Chaya Slain, with the help of her daughter Sarah, demonstrated the challah-baking process.
